Privacy Policy — Medusa: Synapse
Effective date: 11 July 2026 · Developer: Dr. Birol Akduman
Medusa: Synapse ("the app") is a personal English-learning application. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.
Data we collect
- Account data: your email address, display name and profile picture, provided by the sign-in method you choose (Google, Apple, or email/password). Used solely to authenticate you and sync your data.
- Learning content: the sentences you create in the app and their translations, plus your learning progress (review counts, schedules, streak, playlists, settings). Stored in Google Cloud Firestore, linked to your account, visible only to you.
AI processing
When you add a sentence, its text is sent to Google's Gemini model (via Firebase AI Logic) to produce English translations. Sentence text is processed to provide this feature and is not used for advertising.
What we do NOT do
- No advertising, no trackers, no analytics beyond basic operational logs.
- No selling or sharing of your data with third parties.
- No collection of contacts, location, or any data outside the app.
Data processors
The app runs on Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Hosting, AI Logic). Google processes data on our behalf under the Firebase Terms of Service.
Data deletion
You can delete individual sentences and playlists in the app. To delete your account and all associated data, email contact@fluxagora.com — requests are honored within 30 days.
Children
The app is intended for adult professionals and is not directed at children under 13.
